This is going to be a home for my ever-evolving and growing collection of personal projects. Passion and connection is the fuel for anyone’s creative fire and it’s important, no matter what, to do somethings for yourself every now and again.

Here you will find everything from songs of various genres, to instrumental tracks to classical pieces to…well who knows what. Stay tuned and in the meantime, take a listen!

Jon Marco is a songwriter and artist based in Boston, MA. His sound and style takes cues from Raggae, Motown and other classic sounds and fuses them into something fresh and modern sounding.

I produced, mixed & engineered this entire record in studios around Boston & New York plus I was recruited to play bass on the record as well. I LOVE when I can play on the projects I produce…it adds so much to the connection I have with the music.

Mastered by the venerable Andy VanDette at the famous Masterdisk Studios in NYC.

Plugins make me happy!

As my first foray into the world of “blogging” as it were, I couldn’t think of a better first post than something to do with gear. I accepted long ago that I am a huge dweeb at heart…ESPECIALLY when it comes to audio gear and plugins.

Which brings us to the subject at hand. Plugin manufacturer Softube has released a software version of one of my favorite compressors, the Summit Audio TLA-100. It brings me back to my days at recording school in Massachusetts where I would use the hardware version on every project I did. I can’t say enough good things about this piece of gear. So, if you’re like me and can’t afford to drop big change on the hardware version, then pick this up. I know I will soon!
